Grand Rounds: September 22, 2016

This past week’s Grand Rounds was packed with pearls and interesting cases! First off, Dr. Erika Flores Uribe delivers her excellent PGY3 talk. Through the use of four cases, she discusses the various types of strokes and offers a simplified algorithm for the approach to stroke.

We then hear an interesting toxicology case from Dr. Abraham Flinders about a patient presenting with fever, tremor, dysarthria, and drooling.

Next up, Dr. Fiona Garlich spices things up with a stellar lecture on synthetic cannabinoids.

Dr. Bob Paquette then bestows upon us his clinical pearls for the management of acute CHF exacerbations.

To wrap up this edition of Grand Rounds, Dr. Jean Suh presents a complicated case that demonstrates that, much to the chagrin of House MD, sometimes it actually is lupus.

Dr. Suh: “You Will Learn to Fear the Lupus Pt.”

And with that comes the conclusion of another successful week of Grand Rounds. Thanks for joining us!
